Greetings! Hello! Hola!
Okay, so sometimes we have lessons on p-day. And today was
one of those days. (okay i say sometimes, but i really mean every single week
usually haha) Today we went to go see a family from the Cook Islands. By the
way, the more people i meet from there, the more i love the culture and the
people and the more i want to go there. Seriously! The man that just got
baptized was Cook Island as well :) Anyways, we just had a lesson with this
young couple, and they have 3 little kids under 5 years. The woman has been
reading the Book of Mormon and we had a lesson today - she told us she knows
it's true, and that Joseph Smith is a prophet. Her partner hit his chest and
said this message of the Restoration just "goes deep." They have
already been praying about baptism, and we set a date for them today :) Wow, we
are just on air. Seriously, SO AMAZING! There was a member there with us and
she invited them to dinner with her family. The members are really catching the
bug of missionary work and we are so blessed :)
Update on being Sister Training Leader: There is just one in
each zone. and i need to go on exchanges with every sister in the zone, so that
means lots of traveling out of the area! the Lord will bless us, even though we
can't be in Ashburton as often as we would like. The other sisters don't drive,
so Sister Nuitupuivaha will need to come with me to Christchurch when i go on
exchanges. Does any of this make sense? Perhaps just to return missionaries.
Another thing is coming up with a "zone theme." Sounds cheesy, but
that's okay. We sang "come come ye saints" in district meeting last
week, and the phrase "fresh courage take" really stuck in my brain. I
talked to the zone leaders about it, and they were like "woah... that has
stuck out to each of us this week, too, but we just never talked to each other
about it." Still trying to figure out what direct the Lord wants the theme
to go in, but it's cool to see how He has a plan for His missionaries :) I go
up to Wellington at the end of August for MIssion Leader Council, with all the
other STL's and Zone leaders.
love you all! The church is true!!!!
Sister Rose
